SYNOPSIS

College students, DALLAS, JESSE, MARTHA, AMBER, and JACK rent a house in the boonies. Jesse, a former street person, plagued by mental illness, becomes intrigued with the deranged SNAPP family, their new neighbors, as she tries to hold onto her sanity. No one is allowed in the basement. One by one, the Snaps show themselves, scaring everyone but Jack. Unexplained noises and occurrences emerge from the basement, creating a hostility that tears the roommates apart, as Jesse’s madness brings the evil closer to them all. Is it her mental illness or the devil trying to possess her?

Jesse can no longer resist the force below and in a fit of hysteria, she goes downstairs. The others follow and their nightmare intensifies as DR. SNAP, an escaped serial killer, reveals himself. Jesse’s sanity eventually wins out over this evil force and she leads the escape from the basement. MRS. O’REILLY, Dallas’ mother, arrives to save them, but not before Dr. Snap slices Dallas’s throat with a scalpel and a ferocious battle ensues. Jessie kills Dr. Snap, Jack, Amber, and Martha vanish, and Mrs. O’Reilly and Jessie flee with a gravely injured Dallas.

… but, John Snap, it seems, is not quite dead…
