GIVING BACK

15% of Net Revenue from Streaming & Distribution will be Donated

Traditionally, independent feature films are not funded through a nonprofit fiscal sponsorship because they are considered commercial enterprises.

With the advent of online streaming over the last 15 years, the traditional theatrical release of many studio-produced feature films with major Hollywood “stars”, has been replaced by online streaming debuts on the three major streaming formats – Netflix, Amazon, and Hulu and many smaller streaming companies.

TWENTY goes further in that, instead of 100% going into the production and distribution budget, 10% of your donation and when feasible, 10% of foundation and corporation contributions will go to a charity or cause of your choice. In addition, 15% of all net revenue from online streaming and other forms of distribution will be donated directly back into the community and specifically, to charities of your choice. Films continue to receive net revenue in perpetuity depending on the distribution deal negotiated so this should amount to hundreds of thousands of dollars going to charities.

An endowment will be created by building in an additional 10% into the post-production budget to guarantee that 10% of your donation will go to the charity of your choice and to continue to fund future films. Please go to Make Your Donation.

Wanting to break out of the mold of most independent films, TWENTY offers opportunities for donors and funders to target what charities and nonprofits they want to contribute to.
